So recently I did bothe headgaskets with the engine in the car (most of you prob remember pics) so while I pulled the heads with the turbos intact, I replaced both turbos. I used stock rebuilds (I know everyone hates rebuilds but it was the only option financially at the time). Anyway, I had regular 10w-30 in for a month afterwards and everything was fine. Switched to 10W-30 synthetic, and the passenger side turbo will smoke at idle, but rarely under boost situations. This only happened immediately when I changed to synthetic. I know people talk about stuff leaking once they use synthetic, and I am aware this is probably due to the rebuilt turbo, but it 100% happened right when I changed the oil. Do you think changing back to regular oil would help? It is totally driveable and I am NOT doing a turbo swap again, but in traffic I'll see the smoke and it sucks...Would thicker regular oil help? Just thoughts...thanks
